  • How much is a StartAPod membership?

    $9.99/month or $99.90 annually (get 2 months free).

  • What is included in my membership?

    Your membership includes full time access to courses and resources, a free listing with PodSearch, exclusive deals on gear from our partners, and access to potential sponsorship opportunities through our sister company, PodSearchAD.

  • When does billing occur?

    For monthly subscriptions, you are billed once a month from the day you sign up. For annual subscriptions, you are billed once a year on your sign up date.

  • Can I cancel my membership?

    Sure- you can cancel your membership at any time by heading over to your account page and clicking “cancel.” After cancelling, you will have continued access to SAP until your next billing date.

  • Do I need to give notice cancelling my membership?

    No, you can cancel at any time before your next billing cycle. After cancelling, you will have continued access to SAP until your next billing date.

  • What happens to my Simplecast account if I cancel my StartAPod membership?

    Your Simplecast account will remain active even if you cancel your SAP membership and there are no additional steps that you need to take. If you’d like to also cancel your Simplecast subscription, please visit their website for instructions on the process

  • What happens to my PodSearch listing if I cancel my StartAPod membership?

    Your PodSearch listing will remain active and free of charge if you cancel your StartAPod membership.

  • Do I have to complete the courses in order?

    Nope! You are welcome to take the courses in whichever order works best for you.

  • I already have a podcast, do I have to complete all of the courses?

    Nope! Feel free to skip courses depending on your needs.

  • How often are courses added?

    We are constantly striving to give you all the information you need and will be updating courses as needed. If you’d like to see a course on something specific, feel free to email us!

  • The Course Resources aren’t downloading properly. What do I do?

  • How do I automatically enable the audio for the website?

    How to using Chrome:

    1. While in Google Chrome, open the tab you want to allow or block.

    2. Click/tap on the View site information button just to the left of the site's URL in the address bar.

    3. Click/tap on Allow (unmute), Block (mute), or (default) action from the Sound drop menu for what you want for this site.

    4. When finished, you can close the site information box.

    How to using Safari:

    1. While in Safari, open the StartAPod website.

    2. On your computer, select Safari... Settings for This Website...

    3. Next to Auto-Play, select Allow All Auto-Play from the options

    How to using Firefox:

    1. When Firefox is actively blocking media on a website, you'll see a special icon in the address bar.

    2. Click that icon to open the Site Information drop-down panel, where you can change the Autoplay setting for that website.

    How to Using Internet Explorer:

    1.Open Internet Explorer.

    2. Click Tools (Alt + T) > Internet Options.

    3. Click the Advanced tab.

    4. Scroll down to Multimedia.

    5. Check the Play sounds in webpages option.

    6. Apply the changes.

    6. Restart Internet Explorer, or open a new IE window.
